Managing Director
Richard Gilks is a Certificate IV licensed Plumbing and Gas Contractor with a successful career spanning over 24 years in the infrastructure and services industry. He is widely recognized for his expertise in the execution of complex remote works, a demanding industry where he has devoted the last 18 years to mastering intricate logistical and technical challenges. Richard's focus is strategically set on the commercial and resource mining sectors, providing mission-critical plumbing and gas solutions in highly challenging, remote environments. He has led, delivered, and successfully commissioned numerous high-value infrastructure projects, including the end-to-end design and installation of large-scale transportable camp villages and overseeing the comprehensive installation of critical inground civil plumbing and gas networks necessary for new plant construction and permanent village facilities. As the Managing Director and Principal of TOTAL Plumbing & Gas, Richard is accountable for the company's operational success and strategic direction. His executive role involves the strategic planning and rigorous project management of all installations, ensuring the timely fulfilment of all contractual obligations and regulatory requirements. He is responsible for defining and consistently exceeding key performance indicators (KPIs) related to project safety, strict timeline adherence, and rigorous budget control. Richard's proven technical and managerial proficiency is formally complemented by his attainment of a Level 4 Project Management Certification, which solidifies his capacity to strategically conceptualize, mobilize, and execute even the most high-stakes and logistically complex infrastructure mandates, reinforcing his status as a trusted industry leader
Charlotte Gilks
Office Manager / Accounts
Charlotte Gilks is the Office and Accounts Manager, serving as the operational cornerstone responsible for ensuring the efficient, compliant, and professional functioning of TOTAL Plumbing & Gas. Her duties encompass a comprehensive range of critical financial and administrative controls, including meticulous document control, the rigorous preparation and submission of all estimates and quotes, managing the full cycle of accounting and invoicing, and the seamless administration of staff payroll. Charlotte is instrumental in maintaining the company's robust external relationships; she plays a crucial, client-facing role by managing all primary communications, ensuring comprehensive service support and the proactive resolution of inquiries. Furthermore, her responsibility extends to internal operational excellence, where she is directly involved in coordinating all essential staff meetings and actively implementing and refining office policies and procedures designed to enhance overall workflows and efficiency. Her exceptional attention to detail and highly structured approach are indispensable factors in ensuring the continuous, smooth running of the business and strategically underpinning the company's executive and field operations
Dylan Murray
Operations Manager
Dylan is responsible for the operational performance of all plumbing installation services across Western Australia. This role involves managing the complexities of major installation projects on remote sites alongside overseeing high-volume service delivery in the critical Perth Metropolitan area.
He is key to driving operational excellence, managing the complete project lifecycle, and strategically directing a large installation workforce that includes apprentices, tradesmen, and specialized subcontractors. His main focus is maximizing resource utilization and controlling project overhead through effective scheduling, detailed work planning, and ongoing process improvement.
Dylan's leadership ensures smooth and efficient workflow throughout the installation division. He actively participates in material procurement planning and accurately forecasting labor and equipment needs for upcoming projects. By refining workflows and enhancing installation efficiency, he directly supports the timely completion of projects and the quality standards of the business.
A vital aspect of his role is maintaining high customer service standards during the installation process to build lasting client trust. Dylan acts as the senior operational liaison for key accounts, expertly managing client communications, quickly resolving complex service issues related to installations, and translating client expectations into practical operational plans. This commitment ensures quality service that is essential for cultivating loyalty and securing repeat business.
Dylan provides necessary leadership in safety, compliance, and team development for the installation teams. He is accountable for developing and strictly enforcing all Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment (OHS&E) policies across every worksite. By organizing and conducting routine inspections, internal audits, and mandatory safety training, Dylan proactively reduces operational risk and ensures a secure, legally compliant environment. Furthermore, he is dedicated to the professional growth of his team, promoting a culture of accountability, skill development, and adherence to industry standards.
Jett Anderson
Site Supervisor (Perth Metropolitan Area)
Jett oversees Perth Plumbing operations and modular building manufacturing at our Perth facility’s. With extensive experience in plumbing and people management, he coordinates all aspects of the daily tasks handled by plumbing/hydraulic technicians. Jett is responsible for organizing apprentices, tradesmen, subcontractors, and other personnel to ensure that our services meet high standards of quality and efficiency.
Jett has successfully supervised commercial construction projects of muti floor high rise developments, renovations and modular building construction work, he actively supervises the training and development of our apprentices, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles. His commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment helps promote teamwork and professional growth among staff members.
Jett diligently ensures compliance with Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures across all work sites. He regularly reviews and updates safety protocols, conducts risk assessments, and implements best practices to maintain a safe and healthy workplace for everyone involved. Jett’s dedication to these standards not only protects our employees but also upholds the integrity of our company’s operations and reputation.
